The lockdown (limited) will continue for a while so that we are unlikely to meet for a few more Sundays. Fortunately, there are numerous initiatives through which the municipalities function. Let’s pay close attention to looking after each other.

On Sunday April 5, there will be many initiatives to have a meeting via the internet. While this cannot replace relational gathering, it is a great encouragement to many, especially congregation members who feel lonely.

A possible to use is a meeting from Veenendaal (Mosaic) of Sunday March 29. You do not need life streaming for this. It may be from the Netherlands, but it is recorded very qualitatively and very well in terms of content. Here is the link.

Call to prayer

The Cornona virus also affects our churches. As VVP, our attention is focused on pastors / elders. If you need prayer for yourself or a co-responsible person, you can always pass this on to Albert Walsweer:

We received a call for prayer for:

– Jan Versweyveld is hospitalized. Jan works in the VVP mission committee and is involved in the Christian community in Morstel.

Psalm 8: 3-6

3When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,

the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,

4what is man that you are mindful of him,

and the son of man that you care for him?

5Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings

and crowned him with glory and honor.

6You have given him dominion over the works of your hands;

you have put all things under his feet,

 (English Standaard Version)

For us humans, everything revolves around God. No one is higher, greater than He. He is the Starting Point, the Creator. Without Him, there was no human being, nothing.

For God, everything revolves around man. Nothing is more precious than a human. Man is the organ point of creation, the icing on the cake. Man was created by God. In other words, the Creator is also the Father.
